RCT Crown & Bridge

Contrary to popular beliefs, strengthened by so many toothpaste and mouthwash adverts, cavities that lead to a toothache is not reversible.

Root canal treatment or endodontic treatment is necessary when the center part within the tooth, known as the pulp, housing the blood vessels and nerve, becomes infected. Therefore, it is performed to save a badly infected tooth instead of extracting it. RCT can also save a tooth from future infections when a cap/crown is placed over it. RCT is thought to be a very painful treatment, but rather it is a pain-relieving treatment as the nerves from the pulp tissues are removed from the infected tooth during this treatment leaving a clean and disinfected tooth behind.

RCT relieves tooth pain and saves a damaged tooth. The procedure on average requires 3 sittings wherein the infected portion of the tooth is removed and the tooth is cleaned. Some teeth can be treated in one appointment using advanced equipment and techniques.

During dental crown process the tooth is filled down & reshaped into a smaller size The tooth decay removal from the surface of the tooth & structure restored so that it can support the crown after that crown is placed on surface & cemented into position. This acts as a cap over the newly shaped tooth & improves its strength.

A crown is basically a false tooth that is usually made up of porcelain or ceramic. The best thing about the crown is that it can be custom made as per the requirements of the patient. The colour & texture can matched to the existing teeth.

  2. Zirconia layer – A solution that that combines the strength of full zirconia for the occlusal surface with layered ceramic for the esthetic zone.
  3. E- max – These are special type of crowns made from lithium disilicate material these crowns are made from single block of this material which makes it a high strength crown. E-max  Crowns are more translucent.
